説明：1972年8月20日にLAメモリアル・コロシアムで行われたWattstax開催の50周年を記念して発売されましたライヴ１２CDです。このフォーマットで最上級の１２ボックスバージョンとなります。ユニオンで購入しました。 
 
・ワッツタックスは、1965年にロサンゼルスで起こったワッツ暴動から7周年を記念して、ワット・サマー・フェスティバルに関連してスタックス・レコードが企画したベネフィット・コンサートとのことです。 
 
・アイザック・ヘイズ、ステイプル・シンガーズ、ルーファス・トーマス、ジョニー・テイラー、バー・ケイズなど、スタックスの大物アーティストが出演した上、このイベントにはジェシー・ジャクソン師が参加し、この日のMCを務め、よく言及される「I Am Somebody」のスピーチでイベントを開幕させたそうです。・ 
 
・12枚組CDには、31曲の未発表曲、サミット・クラブからの音源、その他の追加録音が収録。76ページのフルカラー・ブックには、WattstaxのクリエイターであるAl Bellによる紹介文、Rob BowmanとA. Scott Gallowayによる新しいエッセイも掲載とのこと。
